We have a great opportunity for a Director of Strategic Programs to join our team based on Capability Green in Luton. 

The Director of Strategic Program Office will have a portfolio view of the Randstad UK UK Leadership Team sponsored projects underway at any one time in order to ensure that investments are in line with overall objectives. (Investments being allocation of resources to ensure the project is executed correctly). 

The jobholder, along with the Business Transformation Function,  will also be the guardian of all the standards that need to be in place for projects to operate effectively. This will include, for example, standard reporting, governance, and adhering to outlined processes. The PMO will ensure that the right people are assigned to the right jobs, and the appropriate blend of skills and knowledge is made available for strategic projects.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Working directly with UKLT and other senior business leadership teams within the organization to deliver strategic changes/projects, in close collaboration with BTP.
  • Developing & maintaining a central Enterprise Project Management Office change catalogue for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Acting as a designated “Product Manager” for UKLT to bring through changes & ideas in close partnership with Head of BTP for effective evaluation and change adoption
  • Partnering with BTP to chair the regular Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting in evaluating strategic project priorities and associated conflicts (if any)
  •  Updating and consulting Steerco & UKLT on strategic projects/programs on a regular basis and facilitate any associated decision making on priorities/conflicts.
  • Working closely with Opco MDs, Marketing, L&D, and BTP on wider project/program communication, relevant user training, an overall change adoption 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be able to demonstrable experience of managing PMOs in a strategic & complex but agile environment and for large programmes with particular focus on “change adoption”
  • Have impeccable attention to detail and ability to critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources, reconcile variances and recommend improvements
  • Be an experienced people manager
  • Demonstrate evidence of strong stakeholder engagement skills with a proven track record of engaging and managing multiple stakeholders, tailoring messages appropriately, influencing others and gaining their agreement and cooperation;
  • Have a proven background in problem-solving skills with the ability to form well thought out conclusions and recommendations;
  • Be competent in using G-suite.
