We have a great opportunity for an operational HR Business Partner to join the team on a permanent contract. With strong ER experience and a passion for delivering on strategic projects you will be working with the Senior HR Business Partner to support over 500 employees and managing the employment relations for approximately 6,000 temporary workers, You will be responsible for delivering our HR strategy and objectives in conjunction with our operational managers and directors across a number of operating companies in the Midlands and North of England.

Priorities for the role include working across all generalist areas of HR, to include:

Driving a high performance culture. Using data from various analytical tools and employee experience software you will be guiding our managers in performance management and in holding great conversations with their teams as well as supporting with action on conduct and poor performance.

  • Talent Management. You will be supporting the operational teams and our talent acquisition team to make effective hiring and selection decisions, and driving improvements on staff retention.  You will be involved in our quarterly talent reviews and support succession planning and talent development.
  • Employee relations and TUPE. You will be managing complex ER cases and acting as a mentor to junior team members in this respect, as well as coaching and developing line managers to mitigate risk and liaising with client contacts on key ER issues.  Having expertise in large scale TUPE projects will also be beneficial.
  • Projects: You will work on specific operational projects as well as support any HR projects and initiatives throughout the year.

You will be able to demonstrate commercial HR acumen as well as technical HR knowledge, including an interest and/or experience in HR data analytics.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing and delivering on multiple deadlines.  You will be results driven, a self-starter with a strong work ethic, comfortable in a high performing team. 

You will be able to demonstrate driving people processes by utilising influencing skills and building effective relationships with peers, managers and directors, both in our operational and functional teams.

To be successful you will show an enthusiasm to share, develop, coach and mentor and will have a strong commitment to customer service, effective communication and delivery.

Ideally based in the North of England or the West Midlands, the ability to travel is essential as you will be supporting offices in several locations across the UK.
