Position Title: Legal Counsel

3 days Luton and 2 days London 

Salary @£50,000 pa 

We are looking for an in house counsel to undertake full range of legal work for the UK division of Randstad Sourceright, which is an outsourcing business that performs recruitment activities for clients, and is part of the Randstad international group of companies.

The successful candidate will be part of the UK legal team of twelve legal advisors, with account management for the UK Sourceright business and responsibility for supporting the group IT function. The role reports to the UK Legal Director but involves close liaison with the EMEA Senior International Counsel. The role is based 3 days in the UK shared service centre in Luton and 2 days a week in the London base of the operations, and will involve occasional visits to the sourcing centre in Birmingham.  The role has responsibility for a paralegal. 

We are looking for a commercially orientated lawyer able to deal with the complexity of outsourcing agreements and the regulatory aspects of recruitment law. Would suit someone 5-6 years PQE with experience of outsourcing contracts either in recruitment, IT or other industries, and ideally with in-house experience. 

The work involves: 

Negotiating outsourcing agreements with clients, (which may involve their recruitment requirements in other countries) and handling associated second tier supplier agreements.  This will involve drafting 50+ page agreements to reflect the client's requirements and round table negotiations of the issues 

Advising on variations to client agreements and termination responsibilities at the expiry of an agreement  

Advice on temp worker matters including compliance matters such as AWR, data protection, timesheet fraud, worker status 

Assisting in the roll out of regulatory change and company policies and relevant training 

Ad hoc enquiries.
