We have a fantastic and rewarding opportunity to join Randstad in this new position of Head of Legal. Role will involve regular travel to out Luton and Whiteley offices.

Reporting to the Legal Director, this role leads a geographically diverse team of lawyers (based in Luton and Southampton) in providing timely, pragmatic and commercially-oriented legal advice to Randstad UK, Ireland and Middle East.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective implementation and operation of systems and processes used by the Randstad legal team to deliver services to clients. In addition, the Head of Legal must be adept at mentoring and supporting other team members to ensure the effective delivery of particular items of work.

You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring delivery of efficient contracting processes for agreements between Randstad and its clients and suppliers
• Continually improving the contracting process to ensure commercial objectives are met
• Monitoring and drive performance against agreed service levels with internal client
• Embed and encourage pragmatic decision making as part of the contract review process
• Continually improving data collection and use this to drive data-based decision making and risk management
• Leading a team of qualified and non-qualified lawyers working from multiple UK operating locations;
• Encouraging and require the open sharing of workloads and work between the team
