We have an opportunity to join our IT Service Delivery Team based on the prestigious Capability Green Business Park in Luton, as an Application Support Analyst.

Reporting into the Senior Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing specialist support for all live bespoke applications. You will be liaising closely with 3rd party suppliers to resolve incidents as well as the IT Service Desk and IT Application Development teams. You are expected, as part of the team, to create and maintain knowledge of our bespoke applications to ensure we have a strong resource of procedures and standard fixes. 

You will be responsible for:

• Work with application support team leader to ensure release and deployment processes are adhered to, minimising the impact of software releases and upgrades
• Manage fault logging process to clients (end users)
• Maintain and/or implement the company systems in accordance with business requirements.
• Ensure that all application design changes are documented in accordance with the companies change control procedure.
• Assist with all aspects of IT related project management, particularly focusing on transition management (update of applications transferring into BAU).
• Work with and support PMO team on specific IT projects
• Support all applications deployed across the company.
• Regularly review application processes and ensure alignment with business need and practice.
• Support bespoke databases or reporting systems as required by the business.
• Review and enhance system performance and establish system interfaces utilising standard software tools.
• Positively represent the IT Department in all aspects of application management, build and maintain a positive profile for the company’s applications throughout the entire organisation.

To be successful in this role you will display:

• 2+ years experience in an IT support function
• An understanding of SQL based applications
• Knowledge of various applications and databases
• Strong experience in the analysis and resolution of complex incidents 
• Intelligent analysis of data to draw conclusions/make recommendations
